Rebecca “Karen” N. Tanada has been active in Philippine social movements since the 1970s and was one of the founding convenors of the Coalition for Peace in 1987. She also coordinated a women and development network from 1991 to 2001. She currently convenes major peace networks such as the MindanarPeaceweavers, WagingPeacePhilipines, Sulong CARHRIHL, and the Women Engaged in Action on 1325. She is a member of the TPMT from the very beginning 2013.
