TPMT Meets with MP Abdulkarim T. Misuari and MNLF-BTA Leaders during 57th Monitoring Mission

As part of its 57th Monitoring Mission in the Philippines, the Third Party Monitoring Team (TPMT) engaged with MP Abdulkarim T. Misuari, Acting Chairman of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Central Committee and Deputy Speaker of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament.

Joining the meeting were MP Nurredha I. Misuari, MP Romeo Sema, and MSSD Deputy Minister Nur-Ainee Tan Misuari.The discussion focused on recent developments in the Bangsamoro peace process, including the ongoing political transition and preparations for the 2026 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections.

The TPMT also sought insights on the role of the MNLF and other key stakeholders in promoting inclusivity, stability, and convergence within the broader peace process.The engagement forms part of TPMT’s continuing mandate to monitor, review, and assess the implementation of signed agreements under the GPH–MILF peace process, while engaging key stakeholders across the Bangsamoro.
